Lumen Print River Tour: Reading the White River
Friday, September 11, 2026 | 1:00 PM–4:00 PM
Join us for a guided river walk and hands-on lumen printing workshop at a beautiful conserved property along the White River. Lumen printing is a way to make photographs without a camera by placing materials directly on special photographic paper, and exposing it to sunlight. The light creates a one of a kind image or a pattern on the paper.
Explore riparian forests, meadows, and a beaver pond while learning about fall phenology and the important role native plants play in river health, then create a unique sun-developed print using materials gathered along the trail. Slow down, observe, and connect with the landscape through art, ecology, and community.
