DO NOT SWIM! Vermont waters are currently unsafe. Due to significant rain and flooding in most of Vermont on July 10th, with rains continuing on July 11th, currents are very strong. Also, most rivers are filled with debris, effluent, chemicals, fertilizers, etc. and are unsafe for swimming.

Community Engagement Coordinator

We are looking for our next VHCB AmeriCorps member! Join our team as our Community Engagement Coordinator, and you’ll gain experience at a land trust, learning about conservation efforts while being a key piece of our education and outreach. Play a leading role in education efforts including, outreach and communications in every corner of Vermont. You’ll have the chance to apply graphic design and mapping skills to create educational materials, and the opportunity to get out in the field to support stewardship activities. It’s an opportunity to apply creative thinking, share your passion for rivers, be a leader among supportive staff, and make a difference in communities across the state. We have a preference for an individual based in Brattleboro, but are open to other locations within Vermont.
