Vermont River Conservancy has partnered with public libraries across Vermont to distribute free swim safety bookmarks to readers of all ages.

Each bookmark features our “Look, Feel, Touch” swim safety message, encouraging children and families to check river conditions before entering the water. On the back, there’s space to draw or write about what the river means to them, inviting creativity while fostering a personal connection to Vermont’s waterways.
Our goal is to spread river safety awareness one bookmark at a time. By introducing these simple safety habits early, we hope children can build lifelong memories at the river while learning how to enjoy it safely.
