Sarah, Environmental Stewardship Course UVM Intern
This is Sarah and she is thrilled to become a part of Vermont River Conservancy’s team as their Spring 2026 Intern! She is currently a senior at UVM majoring in Environmental Studies and minoring in Parks Recreation & Tourism, and Geography. She has truly enjoyed her previous time working in the field and the outdoors, and is excited to expand her knowledge with Vermont River Conservancy. With VRC, she will be familiarizing herself with the Wood Turtle Project through prior research and observation to make for a wonderful field experience. Once in the field, she will be enhancing previously established nesting sites and cultivating new ones through the removal of invasive knotweed and by providing the nests with structural protection from predators. She is ready and eager to put her knowledge and studies to use in the field and make a difference for the greater conservation efforts of the Wood Turtle population!
