Nulhegan Confluence Hut – Volunteer Days Oct 21st and 22nd
October 14, 2016
Join us on Friday, October 21st and/or Saturday, October 22nd, to help install the roof and sheathing boards for a new timber framed hut along the Nulhegan River in Bloomfield, Vermont!
This is a partnership with the Northern Forest Canoe Trail (NFCT) and the Yestermorrow Design Build School.
Early this season, NFCT, VRC, Yestermorrow, and NorthWoods Stewardship Center volunteers developed trails on this property, a privy, and raising the frame for the hut, which had been pre-built by students from a Yestermorrow Design-Build School class. We will now be working to enclose the structure by adding roof boards, insulation, and sheathing boards. Work will include cutting and nailing boards in place, as well as adding insulation and strapping.
Volunteers are welcome to camp out Friday night, and come for one or both days. Food will be provided! Click here for a google map of the project site
