DO NOT SWIM! Vermont waters are currently unsafe. Due to significant rain and flooding in most of Vermont on July 10th, with rains continuing on July 11th, currents are very strong. Also, most rivers are filled with debris, effluent, chemicals, fertilizers, etc. and are unsafe for swimming.

Nulhegan Hut and Trails Volunteer Day

Join us for one, two, or three days of trail improvements at Nulhegan Hut and Trails in Bloomfield! We will be constructing trail features including puncheon and boardwalks. This will improve trail accessibility over wet areas, reduce soil compaction, and additional impact on the natural resources of the land. Our goal is to make the trail more welcoming and easily navigable for all people to enjoy this beautiful spot.

Date: Sunday, July 21st, Monday, July 22nd, and Tuesday, July 23rd

Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Location: Nulhegan Hut and Trails in Bloomfield at 2367 VT-105, Bloomfield, VT 05905. Park in the parking lot and walk down the trail toward the hut.

Remember to Bring: Gloves, water, and lunch. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing, apply sunscreen, and have bug spray.

If you live further away and want to help out for a couple of days, camping onsite is permitted for volunteers!
