The Green River surrounded by green vegetation

Reading the River Poetry Celebration

You are warmly invited to a celebration of rivers and poetry. Community members who took part in Vermont River Conservancy’s Poetry Workshops will perform original poems as well as pieces by writers they admire.

We will make space for all guests to share reflections on the poems and the riverlands they conjure up for us… or simply to listen and enjoy the evening breeze.

Would you like to read a poem? Let us know!

Delicious refreshments will be served.

Date: May 29, 2024

Time: 5:30 – 7 pm

Location: Kiwanis Shelter, Living Memorial Park, Brattleboro

The Kiwanis shelter is an open-air pavilion with a sheltering roof. Poets will use a microphone. There is a kitchenette and restroom facilities on-site. The facilities are all on one level. Parking is free. Please save the parking spots closest to the pavilion for those with limited mobility. Thank you!

In case of bad weather, we will move the event indoors to the Brooks Memorial Library Community Meeting Room, Brattleboro.
