Have you ever seen a beaver taking a nap on the shore? Beavers usually sleep in their cozy lodges, but sometimes hard work demands a nap in the fresh air. As Hayley Kolding, our Southern VT Conservation Manager, looked on, this beaver worked on digging a new channel out into the wetland surrounding its pond… then settled into a little hollow it had created, stretched out, and fell asleep! Sweet dreams, little beaver!
