We are delighted to welcome Amy O’Meara to our Board of Directors! Amy’s expertise in sustainability and engaging with business leaders, coupled with her passion for nurturing and protecting the diverse ecosystems Vermont has, makes her a perfect fit for our work. We are excited to have Amy join us and look forward to the undeniable impact she will make on our organization and Vermont’s rivers.
Amy O'Meara
Amy is a corporate sustainability professional with 20+ years’ experience engaging with business leaders and NGOs on topics including climate change, clean energy, waste management, biodiversity, environmental justice and human rights (and virtually everything in between). In her current role as Executive Director of the Corporate Eco Forum, she most enjoys supporting leaders interested in collaboration and collective action. In 2021 she escaped suburban New Jersey and moved to Saint George, Vermont, along with her husband, teenage sons, and dog – fulfilling a longtime dream.
Amy finds inspiration in nature and is passionate about nurturing and protecting the diverse ecosystems of her new home state. In addition to becoming a board member of VRC in 2025, she serves as a volunteer with the Lake Champlain Committee and can often be found picking up litter around popular swimming holes. She loves stewarding the small stream behind her house and exploring the waters, mountains, and woods across Vermont with her adventurous family.
