River Connectivity Through Printmaking
Wednesday, September 9, 2026 | 4:00 PM–7:00 PM

Botanical Monoprints by Morgan LaChance
Join Remy Crettol, Vermont River Conservancy’s Northern Vermont Conservation Manager, to explore the four dimensions of river connectivity—longitudinal, lateral, vertical, and temporal—and discover why different sections of the same river can look and function so differently. Then, get creative with printmaker and naturalist Morgan LaChance, with a beginner-friendly monoprinting workshop. Collect natural materials along the riverbank and use them to create one-of-a-kind prints inspired by the patterns, textures, and movement of the river. Monoprinting is a form of printmaking where an image is transferred from a flat plate, creating unique variations in each print.
All materials are provided, and you’ll leave with your own prints to take home while contributing to a collective river-inspired artwork celebrating our shared experience.
This event is free and open to all ages.
