The Gilman River Corridor Easement conserves 22.5 acres along Millers Run in Sheffield, Vermont. The property is owned by the Gilman family who has owned and farmed the land for a long time. Farming on the land will continue while Vermont River Conservancy works to establish a healthy riparian buffer.

The purpose of this river corridor easement is to allow this highly dynamic stretch of Millers Run the ability to shift and allow natural processes to occur while also protecting valuable riparian, floodplain and wetland resources.
