Haders River Corridor Easement
Once the site of hayed fields, these 14 acres are now growing back into a restored forest of riverside shrubs and trees. With the help of trees planted along the banks of the Wild Branch, and a Vermont River Conservancy river corridor easement, the protected fields and riverbanks will never be developed, and the land will help hold floodwater when the river is high. Right nextdoor, the Schoolcraft land also has a River Corridor Easement. Together, the two properties provide important protection for the river and area wildlife.
