Paddle the lower Barton River with Vermont River Conservancy’s Northern Vermont Conservation Manager, Remy Crettol, as we journey through expansive floodplain forests to the South Bay of Lake Memphremagog.

Come Explore Life on the Green River at Green River Meadows. In partnership with Windham County Natural Resources Conservation District (WCNRCD), the Green River Watershed Alliance (GRWA), Vermont River Conservancy (VRC), and members from Trout Unlimited, Connecticut River Conservancy (CRC) will host an educational event with activities fit for all ages.
Cyanotypes on the Headwater Forest of the Barton River

Join VRC’s Community Engagement Coordinator Gabriella Marchesani for a guided hike through the headwater forests of Perry Holbrook Memorial State Park. After the hike, join artist Benjamin Aleshire for a hands-on cyanotype workshop. Using natural materials gathered along the trail, you’ll create a one-of-a-kind botanical print while connecting ecological discovery with creativity.

After the big bulldozers remove the unsightly buildings, join us to plant 50 native trees and restore a meadow with locally sourced seeds from the Riparian Lands Native Seed Partnership.
